Expression of <i>SCUBE2</i> and <i>BCL2</i> Predicts Favorable Response in <i>ERα</i> Positive Breast Cancer

Background: The study aimed at evaluating steroid biomarker genes (ERα, PGR, ERβ) and determining the expression level of estrogen-regulated (SCUB2 BCL2) growth factors receptors (HER2 IGFR1) in cancer tissue samples obtained from Iranian patients with breast cancer. Moreover, relationships clinicopathologic aspects tumor response to treatment were studied. Methods: current was conducted on 246 samples. levels these their evaluated. Results: Based immunohistochemistry (IHC) results, 12% ER negative expressed ERα. Comparing effects ERα coexpression BCL2 SCUBE2 survival demonstrated remarkably poorer positive, SCUBE2, groups comparison other patients, which statistically significant log-rank analysis (P = 0.01). Evaluation HER2 IGFR1 patients’ a worse rate positive both receptors, insignificant. Conclusion: Many studies suggest that PGR alone is not enough for functional evaluation progesterone receptor as well such BLC2, IGFR1, seems necessary evaluate functionality.
